Rider Profile

Scott Atwood: Commuter
Team: Friends of Consider Biking

Days/Month: 24 Miles YTD: 1997 Days YTD: 138

Why I Ride: Because I enjoy the heck out of it. I've been riding since '83'. Commuting on and off during that time. Commuting fulltime since '07'. I've recently gotten into mountain biking so I go up to Alum Creek whenever I can.
My Commute: It starts at 4am. From Cooper rd. to Linworth. I cut thru Sharon Woods and straight up 161. 8 miles in 42 minutes. All year long. I avg about 5200 miles a year. Since 07 I've missed maybe 8 days due to illness. I like snowbiking. The coldest I've ridden was -14. I ride a mid-90's Gary Fisher 'Utopia' that is a beast of a commuter. It'll ride thru anything, and has. The Trail Bike is a Surly 1x1 converted to a 1x8 that I got for dirt cheap on ebay. It eats tree roots for breakfast.
